April 15, 2008 (Indiana, Pa.): Clarion's golfers placed 4th out of 12 teams who participated in the IUP Invitational on April 14-15 at the Indiana Country Club. IUP won the team competition with a 576, West Liberty was second at 586, Millersville third with a 589 and Clarion fourth at 594. Leading the way for the Golden Eagles was freshman Jared Schamder, who fired a 73-71 for a two-over par 144 and placed 5th in individual play. Senior Justin Moose was 12th overall with a 75-73, 148, while junior Justin Cameron placed 14th with a 64-75, 149. Rounding out the scoring for the Golden Eagles was senior Preston Mullens who placed 28th with a 74, 79- 153, and freshman Sean Foust who had a 77-80, 157 and finished 43rd. The Golden Eagles will next be in action on April 17 at the St. Vincent Invitational. |
