JOHNSTOWN - Pitt-Johnstown used an 11-0 second-half run to get a 66-57 win over Clarion on the second day of the Pitt-Johnstown Classic Saturday night at UPJ.
The game was tied at 40-40 with 13:56 left to play, but UPJ scored the next 11 points to take control of the game.
Damon Gross led Clarion with a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds), while Shameel Carty had 11 points and Josh Yanke had 11 points and six rebounds.
Quinton Davis paced UPJ with 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Chris Gillman had 17 points.
UPJ shot 53.5 percent (23 of 43) from the field, while Clarion was 23 of 63 (36.5 percent).
Clarion returns to action Tuesday when it host Wheeling Jesuit at 7 p.m. |
