May 11, 2008 UNIVERSITY PARK - The Clarion University track and field team was in action this weekend with events at Allegheny College and Penn State University. At Allegheny Friday, Jamie Maloney took seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (16.08) and eighth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:06.86), while Diane Kress was third in the 100 hurdles (16.23). Then Saturday at Penn State, Chinonyelum Nwokedi was third in the long jump (17-3), and Ann Stinson was fourth in the javelin (136-3). The Golden Eagles now wait to see how many of their provisional qualified athletes will take place in the NCAA Division II Championships in two weeks, although it is believed that Stinson will be one of the qualifiers. |
