CLARION'S KRESS SECOND IN HEPTATHLON AFTER DAY ONE AT PSAC'S

INDIANA - Clarion University junior Diane Kress (Pittsburgh/North Hills) is second in the heptathlon after Day One of the event at the 2008 PSAC Women's Track and Field Championships at IUP.

Kress, the top seed in the event, has 2,555 points after four events and trails East Stroudsburg's Trina Carito, the second seed, by just over 200 points. Carito has 2,762 points.

The event concludes on Friday.

NOTES - Kress entered the meet as the top seed having scored a school-record 4,481 this season. Carito's top score on the year is 4,254 points.
