 CLARION HOSTS FRAN SHOPE WOMEN'S GOLF SCRAMBLE - MAY 10TH (Clarion, Pa.): Clarion University Athletic Director Dave Katis has announced the second annual Clarion University Women's Golf Scramble to benefit women's athletic scholarships. The Tournament is now named after former Clarion Associate Athletic Director Fran Shope, who passed away on May 2, 2007. This is the second year for the golf scramble. The event, sponsored by Wienken and Associates and Pepsi, is designed to raise money to be used strictly for women's athletic scholarships. [+]  CLARION'S SCHMADER WINS NCAA EAST REGIONAL/MOOSE SECOND (Middletown, De.): Clarion University's Jared Schmader (Fr. Cooperstown - Maplewood) won the medal championship and Justin Moose (Sr. North Huntingdon - Norwin) finished in a tie for second at the NCAA Division II East Regional Golf Tournament held in Middletown, Delaware.
